Nutara gives second life to existing power plant
Today the heart of a complex boiler revamping project was lifted into place at the Solvay Energy Services plant at Pont-de-Claix, France. The skid contains the burners, combustion air system and fuel trains for a new combustion chamber which is integrated in an existing gas turbine with heat recovery boiler.
This challenging project aims to increase the capacity, improve the efficiency and reduce the emissions of the existing plant. The unit burns excess hydrogen and natural gas to generate steam for the nearby chemical complex whilst reducing the NOx emissions of the gas turbine. The plant s scheduled to be commissioned next month.
