Purpose of the position
Supports the Project Manager in the implementation execution of the project by coordinating the engineering package.
Position within the company
Reports to the Project Manager or the Senior Project Manager.
Job brief
In this role, you will be part of a new company belonging to an international group.
Your tasks will be : Within the field (eg Process, Mechanical design, EICA, Manufacturing & Erection, Instrumentation), assisting the Project Manager in steering, coordinating the engineering team and optimizing the procedures used in the execution of the project to meet the project requirements.
Responsibilities and duties
- Discussing / presenting the project with the Project Manager.
- Determine the project requirements based on the specifications of the customer
- Drafting of material requisitions, specifications and datasheets for, among other things, purchasing
- Follow up the planning of the document flow.
- Assistance in following up the design: process (P&ID), mechanical (piping layout / 3D Model) and E & I (architectural configuration /ATEX )
- Coordination with subcontractors and suppliers
- Assistance with the daily follow-up of the activities when the project is realized.
- Monitor the quality during the implementation of the project.
- Drafting checklists and pick-up lists
- Follow-up of the TIP (Test and Inspection Plan)
- Performing checks and inspections
- Follow up the safety instructions
- Recording and reporting internal and external complaints, deviations, shortcomings during the execution of the Project.
- Compiling the project documentation
- Support in checking for subsequent calculations and budget control of the Project.
Profile
Education
- Bachelor or Master electromechanics/process or equivalent through experience
Basic Requirements
- Open for international traveling for short periods of time
- VOL-VCA
- Extensive technical experience (5 years minimum). Re-searched profile is required to be have a consolidated experience on process / mechanical / Electrical and Instrumentation design for Oil & Gas Plant in order to properly judge and align the technical solutions provided by engineering specialist.
- Applied knowledge of the Microsoft package, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Outlook
- Experience in carrying out and following up projects in the chemical and petrochemical industry
- Knowledge of 2D or 3D CAD program (AutoDesk + Naviswork) and / or MS Access is an asset

- Linguistic fluent Dutch and English, knowledge of French and German
